Eden of the East
Akira Takizawa
The first I saw this series, my first thought was how he looked so much like Morita from Honey Clover, My point to that is Morita is pretty cool and so is Akira. He is so badass and awesome for countless reasons. He has no limits and can get anything he would ever want by making a phone call.
Phantom requiem for the phantom
Zwei (Reiji Azuma)
The title character of the story, Zwei was a perfectly ordinary tourist from Japan, before witnessing an Inferno assassination in America and being kidnapped. He was able to elude his pursuers long enough for them to realize he had a natural survival instinct that was perfect for an assassin. He had his memory erased through a combination of drug and hypnotherapy, and thus became the second generation Phantom. The name Zwei is simply a code name to show he is the second experimental assassin created by Scythe Master. Through Claudia, one of the three top executives of Inferno, Zwei is able to learn his true identity as Reiji Azuma. When he returns to Japan, he goes back to using this name. When his killing intent shows, in the anime, his eyes turn green with orange in the center.

During their second year of high school, he begins to wonder if she actually likes him after she does not give him chocolates on Valentine’s Day, not knowing that she had been too nervous to give him any. He seemingly becomes calmer and shows a depressed and expressionless face more often. However, after being confronted by Ryuu (influenced by Chizuru) and Pin, Kazehaya goes to Sawako as his friends jokingly remark that he likes Sawako; however, Kazehaya takes the remark seriously and agrees, subsequently confessing directly to Sawako. While he often comments on her pride and hotheaded personality and her large breasts, he comes to like and admire Cecily. Her willto protect the city and everyone within it reminds him of Lisa Oakwood, thelove of his youth who was slain before his eyes by Valbanill.
Chrome Shelled Regios
Layfon Wolfstein Alseif
The main protagonist of the series. He was one of the twelve wielders of the Heaven Blades, which are only given to the twelve most capable in the Lance Shelled Grendan, and held the title of Wolfenstein. He came to Zuellni with no interest in joining the Military Arts, and came for ordinary studies with just a Scholarship Rank D. However he was forced to join the Military Arts when Karian Loss, head of the student council, saw his combat potential. He has extremely high combat capabilities, as can be inferred from his past as a Heaven Blade. Due to his birthplace Grendan being heavily involved in fighting Filth Monsters, fighters there developed with a ‘win or die’ philosophy. However he deliberately holds back during battles because he wants to hide his past. Furthermore, he has a large amount of internal type Kei as mentioned by Felli. He also works in machine cleaning with Nina Antalk. His goal is to find a dream outside of fighting. In episode 1, flashbacks of his past show his previous weapon, which is no longer in his possession. His current standard weapon is that of a blue sword but during the attack on Zuellni by filth monsters he asked Harley to modify it with a second mode which produces an unknown number of golden wires that could be razor sharp or as soft as a rope. On episode 7 he received a new, heavier black blade from Harley that could handle his kei to a much better extent and creates a blast of air with every strike, which humorously causes Felli’s hair to become messy. However like his previous blade, parts of the blade will break off if Layfon isn’t careful. This blade retains the two settings from his previous blade. He standardly uses his smaller 01 blade, so far only using the larger AD mode when fighting high level filth monsters. His dite also has the golden wire mode called 02. In episode 12 he uses the smaller 01 mode not wanting to hurt his opponent and it is soon destroyed by Haia Salinvan Saiha, who revealed that Layfon’s master originally studied alongside the master who taught him katana movements. Following the destruction of his blue blade, Layfon received a gray katana in episode 13 but chose to use his usual blue blade when it was repaired and almost fought against Haia again with full power. It is shown through out the series that Layfon’s element is wind and could easily use the wind without his blade. It was revealed latter on that Layfon was in fact forced to resign from being one of the 12 Heavenly blade wielders after it is revealed that he would fight in underground fighting arenas to earn money. It is most likely due to this that he decided to give up fighting in form of a more peaceful life style.
Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou
Akuto SaiAkuto Sai was left on the door steps of a church by a strange woman. He grows up and transfers into the Constant Academy for Magical Arts, wanting to be a high priest. Yata’s predictions have never been wrong, and everyone becomes afraid of him as a result. Even so, he still tries to do the right thing when situations happen around him and he is shown to have an incredible amount of power within him, shown when he absorbs a demon dog’s mana to revert it back to normal, something which a normal mage is unable to do. He struggles from time to time when his power comes forth and attempts to use the destructive Later, he learns to manage his evil powers, so he can use them on his own will. Togainu No Chi

The series protagonist. Akira is the cool and silent type. He has grayish hair, blue eyes, and stands at 172cm tall. Likes omelet rice flavored Solids. He grew up as an orphan along with Keisuke. Akira was an undefeated champion of the street fighting game “Bl@ster”, where he participated in the RAY district under the name LOST. He was accused of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment, but Emma got him out of jail so he could participate in Igura, which he does with slight reluctance. Honey and Clover
Shinobu Morita
A sixth-year art student, age 24 at the start of the series, in the same apartment complex as Takemoto and Mayama. Morita is depicted as a perpetual student, unable to graduate because of persistent absenteeism. This is mainly due to his work, which forces him to go missing for several days, after which he sleeps for at least 48 hours. Morita is considered mysterious by the other students, prone to bizarre behavior such as creating a version of Twister with too many colors. He is a perceptive person who cares for his friends Takemoto and Mayama but often expressing himself tactlessly, and who is not generous with his money and food. He also expresses his desire for Hagu in quirky ways, such as forcing her to dress up as a mouse because he likes cute things. Later in the series, he departs for a year in America, and eventually the others learn he has been moonlighting as an award-winning CGI artist.
Morita is highly talented and also highly mobile – despite the fact that he is much more of a “soulmate” for her, he can’t be the the dependable support that she needs. Neither can Takemoto. Like most other Honey and Clovers, I do think that Morita is one of the most well-conceived characters in manga/anime. In the beginning, the viewer may be led to believe that he is not much more than comic relief, yet throughout the series we get a glimpse of a truly interesting and complex character. What adds to this is the fact that we aren’t allowed into Morita’s mind with the same frequency that we are with Takemoto or Yamada. Morita remains a mystery to the viewers a lot of the time because we, like the on-screen characters, can’t truly understand what he’s thinking. In the beginning he seems like a shallow character, throwing away his education and schooling to earn money, yet we discover later that he did those things only to help Kaoru. It’s the fact that Morita so often hides behind his comedic exterior that makes his serious scenes all the more dramatic. I’m sure we can all think of people we’ve known who so consistently have an air of humor to them that it’s hard to imagine them acting serious. Observe the scenes between Morita and Yamada, for example, which many people say are highlights to them because you get to see a completely different side of Morita. The climactic scene between him and Hagu near the finale of the second season is another example – both the viewers and Hagu have never seen Morita in a state as he is now, completely devoid of any humor, his comedic wall completely shattered. That is why it was so obvious to Hagu that something was deeply wrong.
